My Makeup Essentials

Heyyy everyone so in my last post I said I was going back into a fashion post this week but the clothes I wanted to focus on were in the wash when I was going to take the pictures. So today I am going to do my makeup essentials and do my fashion post next week. I have also put links to the products online so you can look at them and possibly purchase some. I hope you enjoy.

So my first essential (this isn't in any specific order) is my clear mascara. I use this to style my eyebrows after filling them in. However when I am only using the bare minimum I do use this without filling them in just to give them a little shape. This clear mascara is from an individual French beauty and candle shop so isn't available in the UK. Though there are many brands that clear mascara is available from.

My next essential is my mascara. I think it brightens up my eyes and makes them stand out. The mascara I am using at the moment is Collection Volumising Mascara. I love it! It makes my lashes look longer and thicker. It's one of my favourite mascaras and it's also waterproof which also comes in handy in Britain but comes off easily at night when I remove my makeup. Available from boots and superdrug I think this was an amazing buy at £3.99.

Next up is eyeliner. I use a liquid eyeliner from natural collection in black. You can see how thin the brush is and this is a real positive in my eyes as I can apply it however thick or thin I like. It also applys really smoothly and lasts all day without fading. I'm afraid I can't find the link for this but I know it is still available in stores.

Another of my essentials is my powder. It is the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in 002 pink blossom. It makes my face look soft and adds a little tint to my skin. As I don't wear foundation it pulls all my makeup together by having the same colour all over my face instead of stand out blusher. It's my favourite powder I have ever used and it has lasted me quite a while so far.

Before we get to my favourite part we have concealer. I use the Collection lasting perfection concealer in 02 cool medium. It matches my skin well and is a good consistency that blends well. This is available in boots and superdrug.

My favourite makeup product is lipstick at the moment. I have 2 lipstick essentials today. The first is No7 Moisture Drench in 30 Plum Beautiful. I love it because it is so moisturising and pigmented. As we are in spring I can still hold on to my plum colours but not for much longer as it isn't great for summer because of it's dark colour.

The other one is also No7 however I can't give you a colour or name as I don't think this one is still available. It is a pale red colour and is perfect for spring as it isn't as deep as red but not as summery as pink. I love this colour at the moment!

Thanks for reading today everyone and I hope you enjoyed this style of post. I think these are one of my favourite styles of post as I can tell you what I really think. I also hope this gives you some ideas of makeup you may want to purchase and as none of this makeup is very expensive it is great for someone starting out with makeup or if you don't have lots of money to spend on makeup. Best of all it is really good quality. Thanks again follow my twitter @eleanabog for updates on my posts and what I'm up to. See you next week byeeeee

The Best Messy Bun

Heyyyy everyone so today I'm back with what I think is the best messy bun method. I haven't done a hair post in ages!! I have curly hair so it's quite difficult to get a nice looking messy bun so have tried many methods to get the best look.

1. First pull your hair into a loose ponytail however high you want your bun to be. don't worry about too many lumps or having it being perfectly slicked back- it's supposed to be a MESSY bun.

2. Separate the hair in your ponytail into two sections and tease. I usually skip the teasing as my hair is quite voluminous because of the curls. However if you hair is straight this will give you volume and create the main body of your bun.

3. Wrap each section in opposite directions around the base of your ponytail. Until you reach the end.

4. Secure the ends with a bobby pin, this doesn't need to be really neat to achieve the messy bun look.

5. If you feel like the body of your bun is too tight or not the right shape then pull it a little loose with your fingers. You may wish to put some more bobby pins in to make the shape last all day.

Thanks for reading today and I hope this helped you get the perfect messy bun. I'll be back next week with another post. Have any of you got anything exciting coming up soon?? Let me know in the comments or over on my twitter @eleanabog See you next week for a fashion related post byeeeeeeee

My Boot Collection

Heyy everyone I hope you all had a great weekend and a good start to the week. So today I'm going to talk about my boot collection. I guess it's a little late to be talking about this as winter is practically over but I really liked the idea of doing this post so why not.

So my first pair of boots are a little muddy as you can see so I apologise for the state of them. They are black knee length boots with a zip and buckles on the side and made from fake leather. I love them as they only have a small heel so they can be used any time. I have had these for a while now I think I got them last winter from Funky Dory in Northwich, I can't be sure on that though. I also can't remember the exact price but I think they were around £40. I usually style them with black trousers and any top or jumper.

The next pair of boots I got this winter from New Look. They have a larger heel and are suede with laces up the front. I use these for more formal occasions as I don't want to ruin the suede by using them every day and also they are slightly tight around the base of my toes. They were £19.99 and I think they were a good buy for those formal but not high heel formal occasions. These are normally styled with a tube skirt and tights for formal occasions.

The final pair of boots in my collection are by far my favourites. I also got these this winter and I think they are one of my favourite pairs of shoes I have ever bought. They are a maroon fake leather with elasticated sides and a block heel. These have the highest heel of the three though it doesn't feel uncomfortable on your feet as they boot itself is so comfy. I was very surprised when I got these as I had ordered them online and was wary of how the actual boot would be (as you may know internet pictures can be different to the actual thing). I use these boots for pretty much everyday as they are so comfy and go with everything. They were £35 if I remember correctly which is amazing for the amount of times I have worn them. They have begun to scratch on the sides but it is barley noticeable so I don't really mind. One of my favourite things to wear these with is black trousers or leggings as this is generally my daily style.

I hope you liked today's post everybody. I found it really fun to write and enjoyed thinking about styles of boots. What are your favourite styles of boots? Let me know in the comments or over on twitter- @eleanabog See you next week for another post, have a good week everyone byeeeeeeee

Mother's Day

Heyyyy everyone so today is only a short post because I am performing in my school play this week. So you may or may not know that mother's day is coming up, its the 9th of March I think. I thought I'd give you some ideas and tell you what I'm doing to make it a special day for your mum or any other special women in your life.

The first idea is breakfast in bed. We always give my mum breakfast in bed so she doesn't have to give up and work in the morning. I think it's a really nice thing to do as it is different and I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.

The next is something that I have only done this year. But what mum doesn't like home-made gifts from her children (aswell as some bought ones of corse). So we painted some pottery for her. We did this with glass paints and created our own designs. This is the plate I did with cupcakes on it.

The other thing I did was the glass jar that I painted with some patterns. I plan to put some flowers or water and glass stones in it to make it seem a little different.

The final thing is just to make sure that your special woman has a special day. Pamper her and help her to make the day a little different to usual.

Thanks everyone for reading today. I apologise that the post was a little short and I've realised that my pictures weren't great today. Thanks anyway and I hope you all have a lovely mother's day or treat someone so they can. See you next week, byeeeeee

Washing Make-up Brushes

Heyyyy everyone, so today I am going to do a tutorial on how I wash my make-up brushes. I think that washing your make-up brushes is really important as it helps to keep your skin in a good condition and prevent the build-up of spots on your face. So lets get on with the washing....

The first thing is to get everything you need ready before you start. Obviously you need your make-up brushes and also a sink full of cold water, and some shampoo. I like to use a fairly cheap one so I don't waste the expensive ones, today I am using the Alberto Balsam in sun kissed raspberry. Also I use cold water to wash the brushes in as it ensures that the glue holding the brush together doesn't melt.

First off you need to wet the end of your dirty brush. I do this by just dipping the end of the brush in the sink.

Then put a small amount of the shampoo on your hand, don't use too much other wise it will be a waste of shampoo.

Now lather up the shampoo to create a foam. The colour of the foam should be a pale brown colour when the make-up starts to come out of the brush.

Then dip the brush in the water to clean off the shampoo. Make sure you get all of it out so that you don't get any in your make-up, also the brush won't dry properly.

Repeat with all of your brushes and place them out to dry.

I advise that you place the ends of your brushes hanging over an edge because if they were laid on the middle of a table it may deform the shape of them. Ideally leave your brushes to dry for 24 ours though I find that 12 hours is long enough.

I hope you all enjoyed today's post and liked the idea of this. I don't know about the rest of the world but here in the UK it is half term. What are you guys doing for halfterm?? Follow my twitter @eleanabog for updates on my posts and if there are changes to my posting schedule. Enjoy your half term, byeeeeee

January Favourites

Heyyy everyone I know that its quite late into February now but I really wanted to do a favourites. I found this favourites quite hard to do and I don't know why. So back to January...

So the first thing is food related. It is the White chocolate raspberry jam from Hotel Chocolat. I has both the sweet and sour tastes from both ingredients. I like to use it in my porridge as it adds a little more flavour and it's a change.

The second thing is DIY accounts on instagram. I am always looking for life hacks and interesting things to do. They always have things to interest everyone, some beauty and some lifestyle. I don't know why iv'e been loving them I just have been! (let me know if you want me to do a post with some of these that I use)

Onto beauty now and one of my favourite products is the Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder. It is lighter than my previous powder so I feel like it has brightened up my face. It goes son smoothly and it doesn't go patchy throughout the day. I feel like it is going to last a long time as I have only just started using it.

Next up is nail polish. I got these two for christmas from one of my friends and have recently tried them out. I prefer the pink to the blue as I feel it shines more than the blue. It goes on your nails really smoothly and the colour is great!

I have also recently been loving to do my lips in a 'cupids bow'. I think it looks really professional and finishes up the look. The lip liner I have at the moment is from my mum and it matches the colour of my favourite lipstick perfectly! The pigmentation is amazing and it lasts for at least the whole school day.

My final favourite is the shop H&M. I find that the quality is really good yet affordable. I have at least three skirts and two tops from there. I actually love it! Especially because I am still in school and paying for my clothes with my allowance or money I get for my birthday this is a great shop for me to buy good quality clothes but not be skint.

Thanks for reading todays post and I hope you really enjoyed it. Let me know either in the comments or over on my twitter @eleanabog what you think or what posts you would like to see in the future. Thanks again byeeeeee

Bedroom Decorating Ideas

Heyyy everyone so this post is a little bit different to usual so I would really appreciate any feedback you have and if you would like this style of post again. A friend of mine requested a room tour but I thought that it would be difficult to do on a blog post so I thought id give you all some decorating ideas that I use in my own bedroom.

The first thing that I like in my room is a bedside lamp. The picture doesn't show the lamps very clearly but they are white with a sliver stand and pull chord. Especially if you have a double bed I think it makes the room neat as it is symmetrical. They are great for reading or when you don't what the ceiling light on. I think these were from Ikea and are great value as they are really bright.

The second thing is a bag rack/hooks. These are also really handy as they hold as many bags as you want. As I have a pillar in my room this is a great thing for me to put on the back of the pillar. Though it can work just as well on a wall or on the back of your door.

I think this is one of my favourite ideas and it can be for anyone to use. A magnetic notice board is very handy as you can put any paper under the magnets. It comes with three heart magnets and I love to have a piece of paper that I can write blog post ideas on.

My next decor idea is probably my other favourite out of the lot. It is these 'floating' shelves from Ikea. I think they look really sleek and neat as they appear to be floating. I have put a lot of things on my shelves so they don't look as nice as some peoples, though I do still love them.

Related to the shelves is the hearts I have hung below it. I have only recently put these on and I love them! They are metal with rope strings, on them they have pictures of butterflies and flowers which makes them feminine and this is why I love them even more.

The final idea is a little specialist to my room because of the pillar I have. However a large mirror is a must for me. I use this one to do my hair in as I have a smaller dressing table one for my makeup.

I hope you liked this style of post and let me know either in the comments or over on my twitter (@eleanabog) if you would like me to do another post like this. I have realised after reading this through that it was a little short but remember a picture is worth 1000 words! Let me know what great decor ideas you have in your room and I hope you all have a lovely week, byeeeee
