What I'm Looking Forward to at Christmas

Heyyyyyy everyone so today I thought I'd tell you about the things I'm looking forward to around Christmas time. In the next two weeks we will have the Christmas and New Year period that I look forward all year.
I would also just like to point out that because of the Christmas holidays and celebrations I will be very busy so will not be putting up my next post until 7th January. I know this seems like a long time away but it's only two or three weeks away and I'm sure everyone will be caught up in the festive celebration. Also just to clarify the next post will be beauty related definitely!!!!! Anyway lets get on with things.....

One of the things i love about the Christmas period are the scents, the Christmas tree, candles and the food. Every time I walk into our living room I smell the lovely scent of the Christmas tree; I don't know if I also love this because i associate it with the Christmas celebrations or just because I really love the smell. The Christmas candles always have a really strong and lovely smell; Yankee have a large range of Christmas scented candles such as baking cookies, i personally don't own one but have smelt many and some of them are absolutely lovely. On Christmas day the smell of Christmas dinner always puts me in a good mood as it smells amazing and makes me really hungry. This dinner is something we only have at Christmas so is quite special and has extra effort put into it.

This may sound a little strange but I really love opening presents. Not the fact that people are giving me things I just really enjoy opening the present and discovering what it is. I also really enjoy watching people open the presents that i have given them. The look on their face when they get something they really like (hopefully) is priceless!

A few of the other things I love about Christmas cannot be explained and explain themselves really. Meeting up with family, decorating the Christmas tree and New Years!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'm sorry about the rubbish internet pictures, I didn't have time to take any of my own. Also I'm sorry that it's a short post but it's been a busy week. See you in January!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!1

Snow White the Pantomime- Photos

Heyyyy everyone so this past week I have been performing in Snow White as a Mini Miner aka 'Dwarf'. This is the reason I couldn't post on wednesday or yesterday. Hope you like the pictures I have taken and sorry if some seem a little repetative, (I didn't want to put anyone/young children on the internet).

Thanks for reading today, sorry about the short post but I will be back on wednesday with another post, byeeeeeeeeee

Plaited Hair Styles

Heyyyy everybody so this week I'm going to give you two ideas for plaited hair styles. These are mainly for curly hair but would work just as well for straight hair. As I have very curly hair I based these ideas on my own hair, so didn't include basic plaits and french braids.
The first of my two styles is a plaited hairband, don't really know what to call it. To make the hairband you need to take a small piece of hair from behind your ear. Then plait this into a small, simple plait. Don't tie the end but you may wish to tie it until you need it later. Brush all you hair back over you head and then pull the hairband plait over your head. Remove the tie and secure in place with bobby pins. Arrange your hair how you like it. I like to bring the front pieces forward to cover the end of the plait and frame my face a little.

The second idea is a take on a fishtail plait. To create this look brush all your hair back over your head and pull round to the side. It took me a few attempts to get my hair the way I wanted it to be patient! Then fishtail the whole lot of your hair as you would normally. If you aren't sure how to do this then you may find this video help as its a little difficult to explain. Secure with a bobble at the end and pin the pieces at the back of your head in place if they are too short to stay in the plait. This style keeps all the hair out of your face which is very helpful when you've got a busy day!

I hope you enjoyed this style of post and I'm sorry it's a little short. I would also just like to tell you in advance that there will be no post next Wednesday as I am performing in my village panto. However I will post some pictures from it on the Sunday so you can all see what I've been up to. I hope this was helpful, leave a comment or tell me on twitter (@eleanabog) if you have tried either of these styles out. See you Sunday, byeeeeeeeeee

Beauty storage ideas

Heyyyyyy guys so before I get started on my main post I would just like to apologise for last weeks missing post. I was out at a play so didn't have time to write post for you all. Second of all I would like to say that I have stopped my Monday posts and will just be doing Wednesday posts. The amount of effort it takes to run a blog is more than you would expect and so I can't keep up with the posts twice a week. I hope you appreciate that I can't do post twice a week, and thank you for understanding. Anyway enough of that lets get on to the actual post......

So I have recently been wanting some better storage for my make-up and beauty products so I thought I would share my most recent ideas that could help you out. The first of which is probably my favourite and I got this idea from my mum. She got some tea in tins for Christmas last year and finished the tin last month. I thought the print was really pretty and the tin perfect for storing some of my make-up. After looking at all my make-up I finally decided to put my brushes, pencils and tweezers in it. I find it is really handy as I can see everything in it. Because of the height of the tin I had to put long items in it so added in my eyeliners as well. I'm hoping that my mum finishes the other 2 teas soon so I can have the other tins.

My next storage idea is very simple and is just a little plate that I like to store my cupcake lip glosses. They are too cute to be put in a drawer so I had to put them on display and this plate was perfect. I don't use the lip glosses often but they make a really cute addition to my dressing table.

The third storage idea are these mirrored heart boxes. I got them for Christmas last year and haven't yet decided what to put in them. I know this is bad but even though they aren't being used a storage at the moment they still make really cute decorations to my bedroom. They are from laura ashley and I don't think they still sell them but possibly do a circular version. Iv'e been trying to think of something to put in them but I'm not getting anywhere. Please comment any ideas you have for me.

Next up is a little metal tin that I got from my mum when she went to Japan. It did have sweets in but when I finished them I decided to use it to store my lip butters. This is really handy as I like to have my lipsticks and lip butters separate. The tin is really cute and unique and I love it!

I recently decided that I wanted to sort out my bath creams and gels. So my mum gave me an old box she had. It cleared up my drawer and now I have another storage box to separate my beauty products. The box is also quite big so can fit lots of products in that would otherwise fill up my drawer.

This next storage is for my nail polish glitters. It is just a little handy box to put my glitters in to keep them separate from my polishes. I rarely use glitters so this means that I don't have to go through my glitters to find the polish I need.

One of my other favourites is the boxes I got for Christmas last year. They are patterned, one spotty one checked, and look great in my room as the walls are purple. One is bigger than the other so allows you to choose how much space you need for different things. I use the bigger, checked box for bath things such as bath bombs. This is also where I keep my lush things so every time I open the box I get the wonderful scent of lush.

The smaller of the two I use for my nail polishes as it is perfect size to store them all in. I love the purple on white as it complements the walls in my room.

The final of my storage ideas is a ceramic stacking box. It splits into 3 sections; lid, base sections and top section. In this I store my rings as they are dainty and small, and easily lost. I love the colour as it is really vibrant and stands out in my room. The small compartments are really handy for storing jewellery or little things like that.

So thanks for reading everyone. I hope you enjoyed this style of post and I promise I'm going to try and get back on the beauty route. Comment any good storage ideas that you want to share. You can follow my twitter to get regular updates: @eleanabog thanks for reading see you next week, byeeeeee

October favourites

Heyyyyy everyone so I was really excited to do this post as I've never done one before. Favourites videos are one of the types of videos I watch a lot on YouTube so I thought it would be quite fun to try one as a blog post. Don't forget to comment if you enjoyed this type of post and follow my twitter @eleanabog , anyway let's get on with things shall we!

Okay so let's start with tv programmes. I may sound a little weird when I say this as I've just realised that both tv shows are cooking one! First up is the great British bake off, I love it as it's so interesting and I do like to do some baking myself. It aired on BBC 1 and hopefully be back next year. I don't know how to say how good it is but it just is ok. The other tv programme I have loved this month is masterchef Australia. It is on watch (which I think is only on sky) and is on every day. I love the Australian version but not so much the British version. I can't tell you why, as I don't  know why I do, but there is just something different about the Australian version. I want Emelia and Laura to get to final and either to win, if you watch it too comment telling me your favourite contestant to win.

Another of my October favourites is in the make-up category. I have been really loving No7s Moisture Drench Plum Beautiful shade. I previously mentioned it in my favourite drugstore products: lips. It is really autumn and wintery so therefore I have been loving it in this colder month of October. It also goes with some of my darker clothes that I only wear in autumn and winter. The other make-up I have been loving is the Collection Eyebrow Definer in Blonde. I have always wanted to

have nice eyebrows and really struggle to pluck a perfect shape. So I thought id try an eyebrow pencil to shape them. I'm much happier with my eyebrows now and even though I have ginger hair, and therefore ginger eyebrows, the colour matches perfectly. This is also a problem I have found in the past so was really happy when the colour matched. Finally from the eyebrows is the material used. It's not a pencil or a crayon, it's actually quite hard to describe but it is very smooth and pigmented.

Towards the end of October I really got into the halloween spirit and loved doing halloween make-up. I did my sisters and found it really fun. It was time consuming but really enjoyable as I quite enjoy the creativity of it. Along with that make-up is the dressing up and as I am too old to go trick or treating I had the enjoyment of dressing up with my youth club. I was tinkerbell and my friend Zoe was snow white. (her blog is zoesherlock.blogspot.co.uk really enjoyed it. Tell me in the comments what you or your friends were for halloween.

I hope you enjoyed this style of post and let me know if you want me to do another favourites post next month. Thanks for reading and don't forget to take my poll at the top of this blog. Byeeeeeeee

Beauty Tag

Heyyy everyone so today im going to be doing a beauty tag as I have decided that Wednesday is going to be my main posting day as it gives you a blog to read mid week and also it's easier for me. I will still be posting on a Monday though so don't worry! Lets get on with the tag then shall we.....

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is naturally very curly and ginger. It can be hard to tame but after washing it's not too bad.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
It's just my natural colour right now. I have never died it and I don't think I will until I start going grey! (which might I add is ages away!)

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
I usually wear my hair down but sometimes I like to wear it up in a ponytail or bun. Though one of my favourite hairstyles at the moment is a half up half down, it keeps the hair out of my face but I can still have my hair down.

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I've never been to a salon to have my nails done and im quite happy doing them myself. I like to think that im okay at nail art and I find it quite fun so im perfectly happy to do it at home.

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
It depends really but it's probably somewhere between 1 and 2 weeks as I like to change when they chip.

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
To be honest I don't really do my toes that much sometimes in the summer months but nowhere near as often as my hands.

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
I like to take 20mins to do my makeup (I don't wear foundation) but can probably pull it off just about in 10mins if im in a rush.

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I do my face first. I suppose it's just the way I'm most comfortable doing it, and when my face is looking nice and even, I guess it just sets the stage for what I'll do on my eyes.

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I think I just buy it when I need it but I have to say I do collect lipsticks

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Never I really want to try them though!

11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Most of the time, yes. Some days it's a lighter look than others, but I usually have at least something on my eyes, lips, and face. If im at home all day then maybe none but that's very rare!

12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
Both really I guess, this question is really similar to the last one!

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes I will, but I don't like to do it often. I'd say it's extremely rare, actually. And it's kind of a two-pronged idea... I like doing my makeup, so it's not a chore for me. Basically i'd rather been seen by my family than the public without makeup up.

14. How many high-end products do you have?
I don't really have that many high end products they are very expensive for me to buy as im still at school.

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
I plan when im getting dressed unless im going somewhere the next day that it really matters aha!

16. How often do you change your handbag?
Never really unless I get a new one I like to use the same one so I don't have to fuss around with it.

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I wake up around 7am and go to sleep between 10 and 11pm.

18. How often or when do you workout?
I do some sport at school with the netball club but I guess I really should do more!

19. Left handed or right handed?
Right.

20. How tall are you?
5'6"

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Well I do french with school but I wouldn't say that im fluent!

22. How many pets do you have?
one guinea pig, Jasper!!!!

23. How often are you on Blogger?
I'm usually putting a blog on here 2 days a week, but even when I'm not posting myself, I'm probably reading a post on here almost every other day!

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
I don't usually read what's posted on other people's blogs, but I do read what's posted here on mine! Though at them moment i don't get that many comments.

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
No not really

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I just messed around with my name and hoped it sounded cool.

27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
My iphone

28. How often do you clean your house?
My mum does it as im still at school

29. What's your favorite color?
Pink!

30. Do you swear?
No

31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Going to a panto rehearsal of snow white (im a dwarf in it!) then iv'e got a ballet lesson and then guides! :)

Thanks for reading everyone I hope you enjoyed this post! Don't forget to follow my twitter @eleanabog and take part in my poll on my blog. Share with your friends and Thank you and byeeeeeee

Weekend Away Toiletry Bag

Heyyyy everyone so last weekend I went for a weekend away and wanted to tell you about the toiletry bag that I took with me. This doesn't include my make-up but if you want me to do a weekend away make-up bag then let me know in the comments or on my twitter @eleanabog . Hope you enjoy and that this helps you if you need any help when packing your toiletries for a weekend away. Now lets get on with things.....

So first up I obviously take my toothbrush and toothpaste to keep my teeth nice and clean. I don't use floss so don't take it but if you do then this is the step when you would pack it. I always have a few loose hair bobbles and hair slides just in case! I also take a handy spot cream, though this one isn't very good it's just one I had when I ran out of my good one. The one I really like is Soap and Glory's Dr Spot. The final thing in this section is a roll on deodorant from dove.

Next up is my hair things. Depending on when I last washed my hair and how long I am away for then it is the shower things. I take small bottles with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. These are from a hotel that I went to on holiday. I though they were really handy and of course who isn't going to take free shampoo.

Next up is my face wash and soaps. The face wash is one that was in a tube and I put into this handy little tub. I can't remember what the face wash is but I only use it if I forget my normal face wash. The soap I take is another one from a hotel and again is only if there isn't one at the hotel (although that is very rare).

Some extras I take are an expandable flannel, a small tub of after sun and a sachet of calpol. These are just some extras just in case I need them but they aren't essential.

This is the bag that I use. It is patterned on one side and clear on the other. It fits everything in perfectly and is waterproof on the outside so when it gets splashed in the bathroom nothing get wet.

I hope you liked this post and it helped you or just let you know what I take with me on  a weekend away. See you next time byeeeee

Halloween Nails

Heyyyyy everyone so a few days before Halloween I wanted to paint my nails. There was no better opportunity to give my manicure a theme.

On one hand I chose to do a spider's web, a mummy's wrapping, Frankenstein, a pumpkin and a skull. This is my favourite hand and I prefer it to the other hand. I used so many polishes to achieve this look I can't remember their names!

On the other hand I chose to do a ghost, dripping blood, a graveyard, a cat and a spider. I prefer the other hand to this as it isn't as neat. I still like this hand as it has lots of detail on it.

A little extra for you is a picture of my pumpkin. Well squash as there were no pumpkins left.

Thank you for reading and I hope you liked this little post for Halloween. Follow my twitter @eleanabog and share this blog. Byeeeeeeee
